In the pursuit of quality life, forming new habits is often the first and most crucial step. Our habits dictate the rhythm of our days, influencing our actions, thoughts, and, ultimately, our achievements. Whether good or bad, these repetitive behaviours shape our lives.

But what if you could consciously control which habits you adopt? What if you could let go of detrimental habits and foster ones that propel you towards your goals?

This guide provides a clear, 7-step strategy for forming new habits. From understanding the power of habits to leveraging positive affirmations and persisting through challenges, you’ll discover how to cultivate new habits that significantly enhance your life.

Did you know that after 21 days your brain assimilates the new habit? So, the secret is the repetition over 21 days.

So, here’s what you need to do (and what I did) to create new healthy habits.

If you prefer watching instead, here’s the video

Step 1: The Decision to Change

I have realized that small habits can change big things in your life.

So, the first habit I took was to stop complaining and to make a decision.

I analyzed my life at this time and I asked myself where do I want to be. Have you asked yourself this? For real?

I was asking myself which habit can make me reach the life that I wanted.

Step 2: The Power of Knowledge

I think that the first habit to adopt for all of you is to start reading about what you want to achieve.

Read and then you’ll be able to adopt a strategy for a successful life.

I don’t say that it will be easy every day. Because we all have ups and downs. But at least you are trying.

I was trying too, again and again. And I’m still trying.

Quality is not an act. It’s a habit.

Step 3: Stop Making Excuses

Stop finding excuses to not do it. Do it. Even if you fail, try again.

Literally, don’t make excuses.

If you really want to reach your goal, that actually sticks, you will need to avoid all exceptions and excuses.

Stop being lazy. The worst thing is to say, “Oh, it’s okay, I will do it tomorrow.”

No. Do it now! Stick to your plan.

Step 4: Leverage a Support System

Then, the thing to do if you need help is to tell the people you love about your new habit.

When you have the support of the family you love it will bring you motivation.

The support of your family and friends can give you the good energy needed.

Step 5: Visualization – See Your Success

The next thing to do is to visualize your goal.

Visualization can help people achieve a wide range of goals including the goal of forming a new habit.

You can, for example, visualize how your life will be if you fully adopt the habit that you’re pushing for.

If you don’t know how to visualize it, draw it. I’m not kidding. Draw it or write it down.

Quality is not an act. It’s a habit.

Step 6: The Power of Positive Affirmations

Did you know that 90% of what we think, do, and achieve is a result of habits – either good or bad?

So, create positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations are a mental tool that can help you form a beneficial new habit.

As I told you earlier, repeating positive affirmations to yourself constantly especially during 21 days can do amazing things for you.

I know that getting to this point takes time. But you must persist.

The best thing about forming a beneficial habit is that it truly becomes second nature to you. You will become unconsciously competent.

Step 7: Reward Yourself

You need also to do something very important and it’s my favourite part.

Reward yourself.

Every time you reward yourself you re-force the behaviour.

Give yourself some love. It’s time.

The rewards don’t have to be big. I mean, ladies, don’t go to Chanel. You should try to make something that associates in some way with your goal.

Doing this provides you with both – incentives and extra motivation.

Start Your Strategy Today

So, from today, I want you to take a pen and paper and start to write your strategy.

Ask yourself, “What do I have to do to change and transform, to be a better version of myself?”

I’m not asking you to change because you are the way you are. But you can always be better for yourself and for others.

Quality is not an act. It’s a habit.

So make your life quality with new habits.

Next week I’m going to share with you what is the power of gratitude. Because the foundation of your new life needs to start from that.

And I’m going to share it with you because by sharing you are actually learning.

So even you, if you start to share this post and talk about it with people around you, you will learn more things.

Finally and most importantly…

Don’t forget to always love the way you are.

You are unique. Remember, you are you.

Don’t forget to pin this post for later.
